The Pittsburgh Can't Stop the Serenity event was held at The Oaks last night.

Ran into valancy17 and her man before my Dad and Sister showed up. Now this was going to be interesting, for my father had never seen Firefly. I tried my best to give him a brief overview of things, before I put my numbers in for the many raffle drawings.

I just found out that my Dad will be singing the National Anthem at a Pirates game! He's singing with a large group (~200 people), but still!! He gets to be on the field and everything.

After work yesterday, blackpaladin, spacemangroove and I ventured out to California University of Pennsylvania for saberpilot's Senior Honor Thesis presentation. The drive could not have been better. It was gorgeous. Even though the tolls on PA43 were dumb and annoying that is one sweet road! Thanks to blackpaladin's GPS we had no problems getting to CalU.
